Addiction Outpatient/Aftercare Clinic

The Addiction Outpatient/Aftercare Program provides services to women and men whose substance use is creating difficulties in their lives. Our clients are encouraged to explore their strengths and develop new coping skills and strategies that will allow them to address their problems related to substance use and mental health issues. The Outpatient Program offers addiction and mental health assessment, individual and group counseling/therapy, plus information about related addiction, health and social agencies.

Goals
The Addiction Outpatient/Aftercare Program strives to provide quality and culturally responsive treatment to adults experiencing problems with moderate or severe substance use. Our program provides a variety of treatments that focus on each client’s needs and goals. We have a multidisciplinary and multicultural staff with backgrounds in addictions, social work and psychology. The team of three clinicians cooperates closely with the psychiatrists, psychologist, and social worker. Our work is enhanced by the Acupuncture for Addictions team.

•  Mental health assessment and counseling
•  Psychiatric consultation
•  Family education

Self-referrals and professional referrals are accepted. The client calls the Program Secretary who transfers them to a Clinician. Following a short over-the-phone interview, the client is given an appointment or informed about the waiting list and given an alternative referral.

This program is open to women and men over 18 years of age. We do not accept clients with severe cognitive impairments. The client’s treatment is on a voluntary basis.
Services are available in English, Portuguese, French and Polish.
