The Psychosocial Oncology and Palliative Care (POPC) Program helps patients and their families deal with the emotional fallout of a cancer diagnosis by supporting their emotional well-being and helping them cope with the stresses of the condition. Support services include individual group and resource counseling as well as medical consultations for the anxiety and depression that sometimes develop. In addition, Palliative care services provide comfort and care to those individuals whose cancer has not responded to treatment.
