Nutrition During Cancer Treatment

Recipes from: Goes Down Easy: Recipes to Help You Cope with the Challenge of Eating during Cancer Treatment

The Goes Down Easy Cookbook was developed by cookbook author Elise Mecklinger and a team of six registered dietitians led by Daniela Fierini at Princess Margaret Hospital. The recipes were inspired by patients' requests for easy, practical recipes to deal with certain nutrition problems during cancer treatment.

Goes Down Easy is organized by different symptoms. These videos show you how to prepare recipes from the “Loss of Appetite” chapter and include lots of suggestions on how you can change the recipes based on the tastes you like or how you are feeling.

The video topics are:

  • Introduction to Goes Down Easy and Mushroom Tortilla Pizza
  • Edamame
  • Mini Frittatas
  • Easy Baked Custard (includes a recipe for high-protein milk)
  • How to add extra protein and calories to your food
